Sidewalk Stories provides self-guided walking tours and audio experiences through our mobile application (“the App”) and website. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1.1 Technical and Usage Data

Sidewalk Stories may collect limited technical information such as:

  • device type and operating system,
  • app performance data,
  • crash reports or error logs.

This helps us maintain and improve the App’s stability and functionality.

1.2 Purchases

If you buy a tour:

Via the App (iOS/Android):

  • payments are processed securely through the App Store or Google Play,
  • we use RevenueCat to manage purchase validation and enable premium features,
  • we do not receive or store your payment details,
  • RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and purchase confirmation to unlock your content, but does not receive your name, email, or payment information.

Via our Website:

  • payments are processed securely through Mollie,
  • we receive confirmation that your payment was completed, along with your email address to deliver your purchase,
  • we do not receive or store your full payment card details,
  • Mollie processes your payment data in accordance with their privacy policy at https://www.mollie.com/privacy.

1.3 Contact Information

Sidewalk Stories does not require you to create an account. We collect email addresses in the following cases:

  • when you purchase a tour via our website (to deliver your purchase),
  • when you submit a feedback form and give explicit permission to follow up.

Apart from that, we do not collect names, phone numbers, or other profile information unless you contact us directly.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

  • delivering purchased tours,
  • ensuring the App and website function properly,
  • improving performance and fixing bugs,
  • providing customer support when requested.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share information for advertising or profiling.

3. Sharing of Information

Sidewalk Stories only shares information with third-party service providers as necessary to operate the App and website:

  • Supabase (content hosting and data delivery)

3.2 App Framework and Diagnostics

  • Expo / EAS (error reporting and technical logs)

3.3 App Purchase Management

  • RevenueCat (in-app purchase processing and validation)

RevenueCat processes purchase transactions on our behalf to enable premium features and allow you to restore purchases across devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier and transaction data, but does not have access to your name, email address, or payment details. 3.4 Website Payments

  • Mollie (payment processing for website purchases)

Mollie processes payments on our behalf when you purchase tours through our website. Mollie receives your payment information and email address to complete the transaction. These partners process data strictly on our behalf and under their own privacy and security policies.

We do not share personal information with advertisers or marketing companies.

4. Data Retention

Sidewalk Stories retains information only for as long as necessary to:

  • operate the App and website,
  • comply with legal obligations,
  • resolve issues and improve stability.

We do not collect or use location data.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • access and review information we hold about you,
  • request corrections or deletion,
  • object to certain forms of processing,
  • withdraw consent (where applicable).

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you use the App at your own discretion.
