Hi!

My name is Isabelle. I started Sidewalk Stories because I LOVE stories – the exciting, the challenging, the random – all of them. I was born in Amsterdam, I studied here, and spent three years working as a tour guide on the canals, so you can imagine that I’ve collected a few (too many) stories along the way. The walking audio tours are my way of sharing them with you: to help you skips the tourist traps, explain what you’re actually looking at, and let you feel the city the way we do.

Once you understand the context of a city, it starts to feel like you’re part of the city instead of just visiting it. And forgive me for getting a bit sentimental here, but travel isn’t just about seeing, it’s about connecting.
